It all started in 1948 when Darrell Ramey began working for Harris Frozen Food in Brawley, CA.  Darrell purchased the business in 1973 and changed the name to Ramey’s Meat.  His son Dale Ramey began working with his dad while still in high school.  Initially Ramey’s did custom meat processing for customers that raised their own beef and sold beef by the quarter or half.  They began selling beef carne asada seasoned with their own marinade and this soon became a best seller.  Now they sell only all natural beef that provides a consistent quality and keeps customers returning.  Other top sellers are chicken asada, tri-tip, new york and ribeye steaks, bratwurst and much more.
